Any feelings one may have had for O.J. Simpson in the past & prior to reading this book may be drastically changed when finished with this incredulous work. Several issues stand out like beacons as brightly seen as a bad case of gout on a diabetics swollen ankle!
I bought the manuscrict to get the view of the Golman/Sachs Families. One must balance the feelings of both sides in this issue. Make no mistake, there may have been no prejudice before this hideous affair, but after both sides make it a trump card. One family in defense of what O.J. clearly does to them, period first! No ifs, ands, or BUTS! So the race issue is clearly no defense, or even an issue for that matter. But O.J. who really has no reason too, decides to make it one, when it is clearly NOT!
The most apparent is Simpsons inborn jealous rage & anger, barely kept in check by his noteriety & often overriden, not to mention all too often lacking common sense.
It does not take any imagination to read the inferences between the lines that Simpson all but flaunts the fact that he feels he has gotten away with the "alleged" murder (of which he was found not guilty); combined with his sheer contempt for all things Goldman (& Sachs).
Some will take exception to this, but read the book or not, it is only an OPINION! Simpson played his Fame & Race (especially) as did his legal team, to reduce the whole legal procedure to a racial issue & circumvent much of the legal proceedings. In short he used the race card to trump the legal card, and make a mockery of the legal system & he got off free, and his attitude about the entire ordeal comes through in the book.
Read the book. It is at least some legal & moral recourse for the Goldmans, and an eye-opener for many readers.....it will enlighten!
It is a shame that the Goldman Family is not making more money from the book, they truely deserve it. Simpsons true colors as a human being come out in this manuscript; and it makes you wonder very seriously.....was this the first time he has done this.......?
