If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans by Ann Coulter (2007, Hardcover)

IMHO, anybody who takes politics seriously is going to be in a world of hurt for the next few decades. Politics has been getting more and more strident, more and more personal. And quite frankly, I can't imagine why anyone would want to run for an office anymore unless they are a glutton for punishment. -- And then there is Ann Coulter's new book to throw gasoline in the fire...

As the other reviewers have already mentioned, Ann is being Ann in this book. She has lots of pointed zingers that are really quite funny. Some are hilarious. This book is really a compilation of her best/favorite quotes from interviews, lectures, articles and other books she wrote. They are grouped in short chapters that covers a wide gamut of everything that has to do with what's she thinks is wrong with our world.

The bottom line is this, if you belong to the left side of the political spectrum, you are going to hate the book. Ann is pretty brutal in a deliciously ironic way. She leaves nothing behind. And sorry, you will be disappointed because there is NOTHING in the book that proves Ann Coulter as a member of any "hate group."

If you are conservative or someone like me, who doesn't take much seriously... Then this book was written for you...

But to be fair, I have to say that a little bit of Ann Coulter goes a long way. But when there is a whole book FULL of zingers, stingers and whatnot -- for some people, it can be a little too much at one time. I would suggest that Ann put in some stories to moderate the book so it would be a much easier read.

This book is perfect for sharing a laugh with someone with similar views. But please, don't use this book as a sledgehammer against the poor liberals (they are people too)... All in all, I think Ann Coulter is going to leave a mark with her new book.
