      Great Rupert Everett Movie

This 1999 movie has a great cast of characters. This Oscar Wilde classic is about a highly respected and stalwart politician(Jeremy Northam) with his beautiful wife played by Cate Blanchett and adoring sister, Minnie Driver. He becomes a blackmail target with lovely Julianne Moore, playing the bad guy (or girl).....who has a dark secret from Northam's past. He can't stand the thought that his wife would think him any less than perfect. He involves an old friend from his womanizing days (Rupert Everett) to come to his aid. With a little scheming the blackmailer is taught a lesson in wit and passion. Everyone gives a stellar performance, but Everett does steal the show.
