Ice Princess (DVD, 2005, Widescreen)

This is a very cute movie with a great story line. Starring Michelle Trachtenberg (from TVs Buffy the Vampire Slayer), who plays a girl named Casey. Casey is great at science and does a project about ice skating to try to get into Harvard. Its a great story about a girl finding out who she really is in life. This movie also stars Joan Cusack and Kim Cattrall. I wish they had more special features on this. There were only a couple deleted scenes and not much else. Other wise it was a perfect movie in all ways. Great for family night!

There is nothing better than getting home from a long, hard day of work and flopping down on the couch with a good movie and a cup of coffee. Ice Princess is a great movie to do just that with. This movie has a great message of hope and encouragement for teenage girls who want to follow their dreams. Inspite of opposition, fatigue and the every day pressures of a girl's life, the Ice Princess prevails through her hard work and determination. It's almost magical,making a person feel young,energetic and ready to face the world with your head held high.
It's a great Disney hit that everyone should add to their collection.

My family and I really enjoy this Disney movie. It is a good clean movie that the whole family can enjoy!

In Ice Princess, I found a girl searching for significance in her life. I appreciate the way she related to her mom. They have a close and loving relationship. Though the girl loves and respects her mom, she knows that her mom has some bitterness in her life toward men and pushes for significance as a woman. This doesn't cause her to be bitter. She loves her mom and in the midst of a physics experiment for a scholarship she lays hold of a dream that she reaches for. I really like the cleanness of the movie and the honor that I feel coming out of the midst of the story. It was also great to see the relationship develop between those who focused in on academics and those who put their time and effort into their love of their sport. It's like opening the eyes to the fact that we are all a part of a whole, we're not really in competition with one another, we were made to complement each other and become part of the whole picture. I bought the movie because I saw some previews and thought that it would be a good clean movie. I am not disappointed and would recommend it to others.

Ice Princess is a wonderful movie about a brainy highschool girl, who turns into an ice princess. She skates so wonderfully, but her mother does not approve.

To me it is a heart warming story: I love the romance and comedy in the movie. My favorite scene is where she does a double lutz (two spins and landing on ice) perfectly. I’ve skated before, and a double lutz seems pretty impossible!

I LOVE how Casey Carlyle (the skater) stands up for herself in front of her mom saying, “I love skating mom, and no I’m giving up your dream!”. Casey gives up her other dreams to be a skater!!! (Except she might regret it, she does not though)

Amazing Fact: She even gives up Harvard to skate!!!!

I really liked this movie. It is a touching story about a girl named Casey(played by Michelle Trachtenberg) that loves physics and has been working hard all her life to go to Harvard. She decides to do a physics project on figure skating and falls in love with the sport. Despite her moms(played by Joan cusack) dream for her to go to Harvard, she starts following her own dream of skating. The movie is very touching. It's a great family movie as there is no bad language or sexual situations. It is rated G. It is still a great movie for all ages. You won't be disappointed with this film.

This movie shows that you can do ANYTHING if you try hard enough. I would recomend that you can buy it before you see it , it is that good.

Our family likes this movie. We have a collection of Walt Disney movies, so that is why we bought it.

The movie came packaged very nicely and it is such a pleasure to watch a decent film with younger children and not have to worry about bad content. It's a charming movie and I would recommend it for family viewing.

This movie shows the truth to teens that want to make their parents proud and how much happier they can be when they fallow their own dreams instead of their parents. Great movie.

the film is good for familly and my children like to see it verymuch. This film teachs the parents not to push their children to do their dream.

I am always looking for movies for my grandchildren to watch when they come to visit. It is usually a good start to have it be a Disney film and this was no exception. Good story about hopes and dreams. It was good to see Joan Cusak in a more serious role than she normally plays. I think my granddaughters will like it.

This program portrays awakenings in the main character’s self, mixed with a look into a world individual sports even though some is fantasized. One can go through this CD and not only watch an excellent bit of entertainment, but view deleted scenes and commentary that rounds out this story to the maximum in entertainment. It is an excellent addition to the entertainment library in anyone’s home.

My granddaughter has been wanting to see this movie for quite awhile. This product was a good price and came in a very timely manner.

IVE wAtched this movie on the disney channel everytime it comes on there..Im gonna buy it,and put it in my disney collection..I liked it where, when caseys momma finally listened to her,she finally realized,that her daughter does have enough talent to be an ice skater,and that maybe her daughter didnt intend to go to the college all along!this is a very great movie for all ages.Its a film where if you feeling down, or bad, it will cheer you up,and it also teachs you that you can do anything, if you try hard enough!! Its a True to come classic!!

Inspiring and wholesome. Something we all want for our daughters. A story of a girl that needs to decide between following her own dreams or the dreams that her mother has for her. Joan Cusack is great in this role, pushing her daughter to follow the dreams that she has for her. A great movie for mothers and daughters to watch together.

I bought this movie, cause my daughter was wanting it. She says it is a very good movie. She had seen this movie before, but couldn't find in any store. So she asked me to help her locate it. I had just joined Ebay and found the movie for her.

This is a great movie for the whole family that deals with following your dreams and not someone else's. The cast is great and they all do a fine job. It is kind of predictable but still a good movie. The story is heartfelt and will help to lift your spirit if you are feeling down. Worth a purchase or a viewing. You can't really go wrong either way. 4.5/5

Granddaughter wanted to watch. Thought I would try to get off E-Bay. Won item. It was shipped prompty. Packed well. Arrived as described. We enjoyed watching movie together!
