By his own admission, convicted murderer Richard "The Ice Man" Kuklinski was a sociopathic assassin who worked for the mob, was responsible for hundreds of deaths, and may have played a role in the hits on Jimmy Hoffa and a Gambino Mafia boss. Kuklinski's moniker came from his habit of freezing his victim's body and then disposing of it months or even years later to throw forensic experts and detectives off his trail. Though the author has been accused of being lax in his fact-checking, if even a fraction of his account of Kuklinski's blood-curdling crimes is true, then this is a terrifying book indeed.
