Ice Cream Man - P, Master (CD 1996)
This is probably the best Master P release to date, if not the best No Limit Records release ever. Of course you can expect some filler as with most records on this label, but overall, this album is a gem. Songs like "Break em' Off Somethin'", "How G's Ride", and "Sellin' Ice Cream" are the most memorable, and good for repeated listening. Nobody really expects Master P to be a lyrical genius, but it seems that he too realizes that and overcomes by keeping it as real as possible with his skills and not trying to impress anyone. Themes of drugs and violence are ever prevalent, but that is to be expected. This album is more than worth seeking out, especially the original Priority release.
