Ice Age: The Meltdown (DVD, 2009, Widescreen; Movie Cash)

Ice Age the Meltdown is another cute story of the Ice Age animals and there adventures. In this cute tale, they think the mammoths are extinct and the valley is going to flood. All the way out of the valley they meet a female mammoth, or is she? The three amigos travel along with their 'possom' friends trying to escape the flood. Great story! Well written!

This was HILLARIOUS!!! This was far better than the first movie. John Leguizamo was brilliant as usual, the perfect voice for Sid. And it was great having the voice of Queen Latifah as Ray Ramano's love interest. This movie was a comedy-lovers delight. And of course the squirrel, Scrat, was genius from day one. Every scene he's in is like watching a great silent movie. That actually requires a lot of skill on behalf of the storytellers and animators to create scenes without dialogue that are equally as entertaining and engaging as those with dialogue. The latter is one reason why the first "Ice Age" film distinguished itself. So the team at Blue Sky Studios should be congratulated. This is a sharp movie. No sophomore slump. I have the first one on DVD and I can't wait to get this incredible sequel. Everything just seems more developed and elaborated upon this time around. Computer-animated films were still in their infancy when the first film got released. But the technological progress that has been made since then is obvious and it's been put to good use throughout the movie. I really enjoyed "Ice Age 2." So if you were a fan of the first one, then don't forget to get the sequel when it hits stores this November.

My whole family just loved this movie. Most sequels are such a letdown, but this one was actually funnier than the original. The two opossums are so cute. I really like the fact that the voice cast is the same. Scrat, the sabre-toothed squirrel appears throughout the movie and is as earnest and hilarious as ever.

What a great sequel to the first. I love these guys! Super funny and great for the whole family. I love all the characters and how they still love each other even though they annoy each other. What a great adventure of several different animals trying to survive the flood.

The kids absolutely loved it and so did I. Its starts off in Sid's Camp "Campo de Sid" when they discover that the ice is melting and they are basically in this huge "bowl". They encounter vultures, some crocodile like fish and a crazy mammoth that thinks she is a possum. Great fun for the whole family. Sid is hilarious as always.

I loved this movie! It is SO FUNNY! "Stop- hey hey what's that sound? All the mammoths in the groooound!" THIS IS A MUST BUY FOR YOUR KIDS! At the end,

I got this for my grand-daughter because she loves Sid the sloth. She was thrilled on Christmas to receive this. This is not only for kids but for adults, I watch with her anytime she wants. Great Movie!!!!

My husband and I had seen the first ice age movie and loved it. He has wanted to see the second movie for months. I bought this one for him for christmas. We watched the movie with our three children and the entire family loved it. The movie keeps moving, has events for the children to learn from, and has a lot of funny moments in it. the animation is really good. The whole family can enjoy this movie.

I purchased the movie for a christmas present for my youngest son.

Great animation. Excellent story line. No unnecessary violence, no sex and no foul lauguage. I would recommend for this movie for families of all ages.

It was an awesome movie the entire family enjoyed it. I decided to buy it because I knew if it was half as good as the first Ice Age it would be great and it was.

My two yera old loved the first movie and this one was just great. It is a great kids movie and keeps kids attention all through out the movie. Kids will just be amazed by the character and the animation of this movie.

This one has it all! If you liked the first you will love The Meltdown!! There is drama, love, and of course its super funny.

While this sequel was not as good as the first one, it is still an excellent movie. The best part: it appeals to everyone irregardless of age! With top notch actors providing the voices and an interesting story line, it's a movie that you want to add to your collection!

This movie wasn't as good as the first one. It lacked something in the storyline, it wasn't as strong as the first movie. Scrat (the squirrel) really made this movie though. He was a lot funnier than in the first one, it helps that they show him more.

The story starts out with Sid, Manny, and Diego. They soon find out that their ice world is melting and if they don't move to higher ground they'll soon be under water as well. On their new migration Manny finds another mammoth who thinks she is a possum. He then spends his time trying to convince her that she's a mammoth, of course they both think the other is crazy. I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't seen it, but you will definitely enjoy this movie if you liked the first one.

I really liked this movie! It was fun, exciting, adventurous and funny! I love all the characters, how hey all come together and I love the story. I hope they come out with a thrid to make it a trilogy!

Iem was in good shape and I bought it at a good price. I enjoyed the movie when it came out and know that my granddaughter will love it too.

Great family movie! Action and comedy even for adults! Even if you don't see the first movie, this one is good enough by itself!

My family watched this movie and absolutely loved it. They thought it was really funny and they always talked about it. So I decided to buy it for them, so they could watch it more often.
