Product Description
The iMcV-DS3/E3/STS-1 coax-to-fiber converter is a perfect solution for extending the transmission distance of high-speed coaxial circuits over multi-mode and single-strand fiber optic cabling. The iMcV-DS3/E3/STS-1 converters are ideal in MAN access applications, linking buildings over a campus area network, or in premises network applications where in-coming coaxial circuits need to be converted to fiber for distribution up the structured cabling system. Protocol-selectable iMcV-DS3/E3/STS-1 modules feature remote management, advanced line conditioning, jitter removal and loopback testing capabilities, enabling network operators to control remote units from a central location without sending a technician on site. The remote management functions are transparent to the data traffic, so customers will not experience overhead or loss of a channel typically associated with remote management or SNMP polling.
