Hysteria by Def Leppard (CD, Aug-1987, Mercury)

I loved this cd when it came out in the 80s and still listen to it today. This cd will never die. I love all the songs. I like thats it clean without all the curse words and nasty things people sing today.

Great cd to own, takes you back in time!

Hysteria was the first album made after Rick Allen's tragic car accident in which he lost one of his arms. This was the followup album to Pyromania. Hysteria produced 7 hit singles and sold over 17 million copies. There songs such as Love Bites, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Rocket and others can still be heard of the radio today and has endured the test of time almost 20 years later. A must have album for any 80's rock lover. It's one of my favorites in my collection.

I bought the Def Leppard Hysteria CD and I was just blown away by it. Every song was great. If you like 80's rock I highly recommend this CD.

One of the band's greatest albums. If you are a headbanger like myself this is a must have for your collection.

It's the best Def Leppard album they have ever put out. Hands down one of the best cd's of the 80's. Many of these songs are still played today every where. You tell me what college bar doesn't know Pour some Sugar on me? I don't think none, ever if you were born after the 80's.

I like got this item for my son and he like the songs and it is good dancing music It is a good band he likes the 80 musci and thow he is only 11 years old. he playes it all the time.

This is probably Def Leppard's best cd ever. This contains hits like Animal, Rocket, Pour Some Sugar, Hysteria and Armageddon It. However my favorite songs on this c.d. were never released as singles. They are Gods Of War, I love the sound bites of Ronald Reagan's responses to acts of terrorism. The other song I like is Love and Affection.
Overall a great c.d. that no collection should be without. By the way this is the band's first release after the drummer's accident that caused him to lose an arm.

My husband loves Def Leppard. So I decided to buy this for him and it was the perfect gift. Excellent condition!!!

I graduated in 1989 and I love Def Leppard. As far as Im concerned this is their best CD they put out. All my favorite songs are on it so when I wear it out I turn to ebay to get a new one.

Hysteria, Def Leppard's 4th CD, released in 1987 was yet another success with 12 tracks starting with Woman, Rocket, Animal and more. Unfortunately, the band was saddened of the passing of their guitarist Steve Clarke. But, as always, the band hung tough and have released other great CD's such as Retroactive, Adrenalize, Slang, Euphoria, X and a compelation of songs from various artists. Enjoy this great CD from Britain's rock group Def Leppard
and relive the year it was, the 80's.

There are about 6 songs I really like on this CD, however on I-Tunes, I was unable to buy just the songs or even the full CD, I love my I-Pod, and my husband loves the cd's for his vehicle, so I bought the CD, put the songs on my I-Pod, and my husband put the cd in his vehicle... Just listening to the songs brings back so many memories... Such GREAT CD :)

This has to be the ultimate Def Leppard cd! From love to war it's got it all. There is a great variety of music and a lot of hits on here. The music and the lyrics are excellent! It may be from the 80's but it still stands up to most music from today. If you never listened to Def Leppard before, this is the cd to buy! It was my favorite album back then, and still my favorite even now!

A classic from the 80's. From soft to hard rock, they play it all in this album. I bought this album because I lost the cassette tape I had back in high school...

This CD is an old CD, but it does bring back old memories. Memories that are good though, which is good. I have the album but not a CD of this. So that is the reason why I decided to buy this CD. So I can listen to again anytime I want to.

What's not to like!!! Def Leppard is a great band and this is a great cd. I use to have it and misplaced it so I found this one on ebay. All of the songs are great!!

I listen to the first 6 songs over and over, where as the other 6 songs just off and on. But this release had a lot of the BIG HITS on. Pour some surgar on me one of the best.

Also, most people don't relize that in the middle of recording this song, their Drummer lost his arm and had to learn how to drum all over again. They had to jump a hurdle and did so. And now he is one of the best drummers with a different style.

I am one of the last people that would be expected to like Def Leppard's brand of heavy metal music. This album, released over 20 years ago when I was an old man of 30, provided me back then with a tolerable initiation to this genre of music. I have no idea what the expert critics say about it, but for my money it's one of the better albums from the 80's. Unlike a number of other metal bands, Def Leppard produced a sound that came across as coherent and well designed. The band doesn't simply produce as much and as loud a sound as it can. There are actual melodies on this album, and many memorable ones at that. "Love Bites" and "Pour Some Sugar On Me" are the two tunes that brought me to the group, but the rest of the album is strong as well. Of course there are powerful guitar riffs, pounding percussion, and "expressive" vocals one expects from this musical style, but what I find unique about this group is the quality of the backing vocals and how they accentuate each and every song. "Hysteria" is the perfect album for those times when you need to release pent-up energy!
