Tackling many of the classics ("Joy To The World," "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing") in his usual passionately dramatic solo instrumental piano style, Brickman communicates not only the joy but the mixed emotions often attached to the season. Other highlights include vocals from romantic tenor John Trones (on "The Gift") and two different versions of Brickman's composition "Christmas Is."
