Husqvarna 353 E-TECH 20" Chain Saw

I bought this saw back in 1998. I have used it to cut Digger Pines that were 30in thick. Black Oak that was 24 in thick and some really gnarly Water Oaks that were over 24inches thick. In the Ten years I have had mine and it has bounced around in the back of my truck off Road for many a mile. By keeping it in the Orange Plastic case for it. It will normally start on the first or second pull. I have not had it tuned up nor even replaced the spark plug yet. I have gone through 4 chains though. Those pines and oaks have a lot of grit in the bark. I use a peavey to keep the trunk off the ground just so I do not cut dirt. Still I get so much grit when I scalp the branches and top them I have to resharpen the chain almost ever tree I drop.

My next door neighbor has a Stihl and although it is a fine saw Mine cut at a fast speed than his machine cuts. They both use the same type of chain and the same length bar. Many times he will come over and borrow my saw telling me his is dull or out of gas or what ever. He does not borrow some gas he just goes ahead and borrows the saw. Must say something about how great this saw is right.

I have owned Mac's Homelites Poulan's but after using a Husky that a buddy of mine had a long time ago. Guess what I bought my own. Still glad I did every day I fired it up and cut a tree that has block my way down an old dirt path or need to cut a cord of firewood to get us through the winter. I may even get a saw guide for it and build me a cabin with the thing way up in the back woods. On a small gold claim I have. It is only 160 acres but I have a road to it and year around water. With all that and this saw. I will live till I die. maybe in twenty years or so .
