  Great, Creepy. Worth a Look!

Black and White Suspense film. Originally this was supposed to be the sequel to
"What Ever Happened to Baby Jane" but plans changed. I actually enjoyed this one better than "Baby Jane" yet "Baby Jane" is considered the classic. This story is about two sisters. One of them is trying to drive the other one crazy..the other sister is not all there to begin with (Bette Davis) so it doesn't take much. Entertaining. Worth a Look!

  CLASSIC Bette Davis, HUSH......Sweet Charlotte

A spinster haunted by memories of her murdered fiance. Charlotte, whose only social contact is with her maid, Velma (Agnes Moorehead), is crushed to learn that the state wants to tear down her mansion and put up a highway in its place. She calls on her cousin Miriam (Olivia de Havilland) for help, but Miriam fails to offer any assistance other than bringing in the family physician (Joseph Cotten) to have her troubled relative committed. As the nightmares of her fiance continue to haunt her, Charlotte ends up fighting not only for the Hollis estate but for her sanity as well.

Black and White a GREAT CLASSIC!
Davis begun in the terrifying smash hit WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? Davis heads up the stellar cast (which includes Bruce Dern and George Kennedy in small, early roles and Mary Astor in her last film appearance) with a performance that radiates desperation, entrapment, and inevitable collapse. HUSH...HUSH, SWEET CHARLOTTE provides a chilling investigation of a heartbreakingly demented mind.

This is ONE MOVIE that never goes out of style! In my opinion it should never be remastered in Color, that would take away from the whole movie. Some things are better left alone, as they were meant to be. This is one of them. Some may disagree but it's all in ones taste. Any and all classics should be as they were from the beginning, true to life.

Take a look at this film, you will watch it again and again!!

this movie is a great movie,a old movie with alot of great stars, betty davis was fitting for this movie, she played a part, that we today play apart of everyday, struggling for a place to live, but losing in the end.but she didn't lose in the end, sure she lost her love, but she is set free in the end, knowing she did not kill him.i bought it because i wanted it on dvd, already recorded it off of tv on vhs a long time ago.

This classic thriller never ceases to excite. Bette Davis was quite an actress, and seeing the black and white movie with her reminds you that you don't have to have every detail spelled out for you.

I loved this movie as a child and watched it with my mother just so we could be scared together. I thought of it one day and decided to check ebay for it. Of course it was there. Now mother and I can be scared together again. I got it at a low price and it was new. I am very pleased to have this copy for my collection.

  Bette Davis at her finest!

While I personally preferred her in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?", this is a fine example of Bette Davis' range as an actress. This film definitely has it all,...greed and jealousy, lust, betrayal, deception, and finally, murder. If you like the films of this generation and genre then this one is a must see.

Great movie if you like the old black and whites. Betty Davis makes a great physco. The movie is slow at times but for the year it was made, it was a good movie. I would recommend only if you like the old movies.

Of course it was better when it first came out but it is even pretty good now. Bette Davis gives a good performance. Decent storyline. Keeps your attention although you know what is going to happen next....

Jessica Lange is usually a great actress, she should not have taken this part! I could have written it, because I knew each scene before it happened! Lame movie, but, the movie promos had me hooked to watch it; those were the best parts (two)! Not recommended.

B & W 60's "horror" classic. None of the "special effects" of this generation but, non-the-less frighting. No over indulgence in sexuality, bad language, or violent crime. Just your ordinary early 1900's affair followed with by a crime of passion. Much of the violence that is shown today is left to the imagination of the viewer.Supurb acting by the best of that time era. ne of my personal favorites
