This movie is pretty slow in my mind. I was wanting more action, and thrilling things going on. Sean C. is in my mind one of the best actors there ever was and is. Because of his acting is why it was pushing up to good, if it was for anyother actor except Sean C. in his part this movie would be average at best.

this movie was great when i saw it as a kid.
) the sound track alone makes this movie great. for its time the special affects are great. the blu ray really cleaned up the picture and didn't mess up the quality of the special affects as blu ray can sometimes do. i always cant wait for the scene when the sub immerses out of the water like it was going to take off.

This movie is a modern classic. Not without flaw in the so-so acting of the rotten soul Alec Baldwin. Its sad that he is the first Jack Ryan who was perfected by Harrison Ford. With that aside lets just say that this movie is spectacular in every other way. A true Cold-Warriors adventure!!!
