there are many instances where the book will take the liberty of inserting personal views, for instance all the examples of good speakers are liberal democrats. in one spot the authors make a point of inserting a picture of a domestic partnership.
Almost every communication book you will find today will be liberal, and this book is no exception, but it does a good job of giving what a text book should on the subject
