  A Triumph
Review created: 08/14/09

This is a big, high quality, beautiful book full of dazzling photos of, and by, the amazing Hubble Space Telescope. Gives a good history of the Telescope and its work, and the photos are mind-blowing. If you are at all interested in astronomy, this book will be a great addition to your library. It is, for me, a book I will keep my whole life long, and read many times, I am sure.

  Excellent information and pictures

I bought this book for my nephew for his high school graduation, he wants to be an astronaut. As soon as he opened it, he looked at every page and read it when he got home. He absolutely loves the book and is looking into the rest of the collection. I prefered the copy with the awesome cover over the collectors edition that is black with gold leafing. Well, this is a great book and I recommend it to anyone interested in space.

"Hubble" D. Devorkin, et al, is a keeper

I purchased this book because I greatly enjoy reading about the Hubble Space Telescope and seeing the marvelous photos that it is producing. This book has not only the wonderful pictures but it does a fine job, although abbreviated, on the general history of astronomy, Edwin Hubble, and the structure and components of the space telescope itself. The images are arranged in an instructional manner; not like the "Hubble family photo album." The book pleases the eye while gently informing the mind.
