Interesting and fun, but lacks depth and consistency.

I bought this book along with some other books on psychology, philosophy and morality. This book has a combination of deep insight, shallow interpretations, interesting quizzes, and random case studies. It jumps all over the spectrum, which is interesting, but in my opinion fails in organization and consistency of ideas. It also, in it's comparisons, will often lean one-sidedly or present quirky facts that don't translate into any deeper meaning. But it is interesting and fun if you are not the analytical or philosophical type.
It does have "12 simple tests" but I am not so sure it helps "discover hidden truths about your personality," though there are plenty of "fascinating facts about everyone else."
I am not sure who would be a good audience for this book. Analytical minds will find it's studies and facts logically weak. Inspirational minds will find it lacking both depth and an accurate picture of the truths of human nature. Adventurous minds wont find the material interesting in the first place. And I don't think the practical mind will find it particularly useful.
I don't mean to be overly harsh. I just like to read honest evaluations in these reviews instead of the usual, yay it was good, fluff. On a positive note it had a ton of info presented in a fun fashion and kept my interest all the way through.
