We bought these movies because of the martial arts theme - but loved them for the epic love stories. These movies have something for everyone - drama, love, action, adventure... These movies will have you glued to your seat. They are the favorite movies of my family. We watch them over and over again. Don't be afraid to try these movies - you'll love them. Both of the movies are epic battles of good vs. bad. The stunt work and scenery in both movies is wonderful. The most fantastic scenes are in the bamboo forest. Unfortunately, both movies have a poignant end that will leave you crying.
House of Flying Daggers is about a group called the Flying Daggers who oppose the current rulers in the land. The blind daughter of the old leader is placed in a pleasure house and is used by the rulers to locate in Flying Daggers. Surprises abound in this film.
Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon is a two point story - the love story and the epic battle for the sword called the Green Destiny. The twists and turns of this movie will amaze you.
My 11 year old son and 5 year old granddaughter both love the movies. My son says they both have a unique and entertaining story line.

I bought these two films, because of several reasons. I really like Chinese Kung-Fu dramas, I also really like the actress Zhang Ziyi, and I like action films. These films really deliver. They are dramas set back in time in China.
They both have story lines that feature magical weapons. In Crouching Tiger a sword in the House of Flying Daggers what else, but a set of daggers. They both also have a tragic love story central to the plot. What really makes these movies worth it are the incredible fight scenes. They fly through the air as do their weapons. It is very very cool. If you like action or kung-fu or love stories these films deliver all three.

I love both of these movies. Fast Paced action and good storylines! I watch them over and over!! The effects are awesome and so realistic, it just pulls you right into the movie(s)!

) Good item, fast shipping. Maybe item could be wrapped a bit more properly, though. Mine was fine but DVD sort of thing needs some padding!!

If you like asian martial arts films you must watch these two.The cinematography is amazing.House of Flying Daggers is my favorite,I love the colors in the scenes as well as the love story going on in the "background".
