Loved it. Helene Cooper story of her idyllic childhood in Liberia and the subsequent horrors of civil war was fascinating. The history of the country was incorporated into the narrative giving the reader a full understanding of the background of Liberia. The book read as if it were a novel and I loved Helene style of story telling. I found it hard to put down. I felt enriched with understanding of this country and its tribulations. Helene's family, friends and home at Sugar Beach were made real through wonderful "Liberian English" dialect and customs.

Took my money, but DID NOT SEND ITEM!I purchased a book from this seller several weeks ago and paid immediately, but the ITEM HAS NOT ARRIVED and "seller" has not responded to my e-mails/inquiries.
