The House Of The Seven Gables is mystery story based on the novel by Nantaniel Hawthorne. It stars George Sanders, Margaret Lindsay and Vincent Price. I was drawn to watch this VHS tape because a very young Vincent Price was in it. I have always been intrigued by Price but have not previously watched a movie that he starred in. I enjoyed this film although I would say it is a bit slow at times.
The story is one of jealousy, loyalty and a family feud. Two brothers naturally having different points of view...will they repeat the mistakes of past family members and will the family curse live on? Check it out and see!
Currently, it may be rather difficult to actually check this movie out. As of September 29th, 2008, it has not been released on DVD. If you want to watch it, you will have to seek out a VHS copy. If you are doing so, make sure that you buy one from an eBay seller that you can trust. Is he willing to guarantee that the tape will play without any difficulties? You will find some sellers do so and other sellers that accept no responsibility. Make sure you make the right choice!
