By Far Best of The House Series!
Review created: 02/13/09

I have played every House of the Dead game since the very first one several years ago and I thought that every single game definitely one upped the previous one and this game definitely takes the cake! What surprises me the most is that I enjoy watching the cut scenes more than all the zombie killing! This b-movie story style definitely makes old look like brand new and you get more of a feel for the characters you play especially Agent Washington. This guy makes swearing an art. Even if your not into the story or the characters there is still lots to do even if you beat the game there is an uncut mode where it is the story mode stages but longer. The replay value is really good if your that much into unlocking extras. In conclusion if your not easily offended by foul language and lots of gore then this is definitely the only B-movie game I would ever recommend!

  200 F's Not Needed
Review created: 04/19/09(updated 04/19/09)

Pretty gruesome game. Much of the F bombs were not needed and were just there to "spice" up the same. Framerates chops frequently and the gun is not that accurate most of th time.

I did fine some of the cutscenes funny and entertaining as well as interesting bosses.

THe close to 200 F words throughout the game as well as much more was in my opinion not needed to make this game a success. Concentrate more on framerate issues and accuracy over profanity.

  House of dead, over kill
Review created: 10/12/09

nice game. Fun to play. Cross hair on TV is very accurate. The grahpic is good. the exposion look real. and so the girl in the game. Sound is very well play out. It a good game for quick fun in and out fast, if you don't have time to mess around, trying to find your way like other games. I love it.

FINALLY A WII GAME FOR ADULTS!!
Review created: 10/06/09

If you are into horror films, shoot 'em up zombies, and not offended by the "F" word then this game is perfect for you. Everything from the cheesy comedic dialog to the fast paced action gore provides nothing but hours of fun. The game handles pretty well, my only complaint is that at times it seems sluggish. But it really doesn't take away from the bulk of the entertainment value. I highly recommend having your wii hooked up to your tv through component cables it the picture is far superior (480i) than the standard av cables. You can get these cables on ebay for less than 5 bucks and it is well worth it. Cheers!

This game is AWESOME! I cant stop playing it. The aim is really good. I decided to get it because I love House Of the Dead 2 for Dreamcast and this one blows that one away.

Our feature presentation is rated A for awesome
Review created: 09/20/09

After all these years, the House of the Dead series is going strong and the latest installment is no exception. This is a game that embraces its M rating, with tons of blood, gore, and profanity. The game parodies 60's and 70's horror films and has a campy presentation that makes it all the better. For being a Wii games the graphics look great and the game is fun from start to finish. The games graphics also have a film filter that represent the grainy film quality of the time. If you are sensitive to over-the-top toilet humar, profanity, and gore this game is not for you. However if you can enjoy these things you'll be awarded with one of the best games on Wii.

Very fun game, but very short! If you are a game-starved Wii owner (who isn't?), this should fill the bill.

  Fun and Gory Game
Review created: 08/03/09

If you and your buddies liked the old shooter arcade games, this one is for you. I'm a little to old to hang out in arcades now, but with this game I feel like I'm there all over again. Grab a friend and a couple beers and have a blast with this title!!

exactly what this game is about.
Review created: 07/01/09

hilarious game, love the dialogue. The game was challenging in parts, but easy for the most of it. way more zombie's/mutants in this game then in some of the other games. the weapons are alot easier to customize. i would recommend this game to anyone who likes house of the dead, or good shoot-em up games. though would be wary because there's alot of graphic language through the game.

  House of the Dead Fun?
Review created: 06/21/09

This game has a theme similar to the Dual Feature Grindhouse. It is a relatively fun game with a lot of gore and violence. If you like the movie Grindhouse and enjoy the typical shooting game in the House of the Dead series then this is the game for you.

Great game so far. I am only on the third level but its seems like it will only get better. Remember back in the day when you would be playing HOtD in the arcade? Well now its in your house and its even better with todays TV's and sound systems. If you are considering buying this game, just go ahead and buy it already. Even though I have been told that it is short, its just one of those games that you load up when a friend comes over and play for hours on end. 10/10 for me.

  Cheesy storyline with great action!
Review created: 06/08/09

The game story line, and pretty much all the dialogue in the game is extremely horrible. Very cheesy. However, I knew that before buying. The actual game itself (shooting the zombies) is really fun, especially when you have 2 people playing, makes it a lot easier too. I also like all the different weapons you can purchase; makes the killing a lot more entertaining! Over-all, it was a good purchase.

  Simple but Stylish
Review created: 06/02/09

The game has a lot of style but the play is a bit too simple. I enjoyed Resident Evil 4 much more. Overkill is like a drawn out zombie shooting gallery. I only bought it because I am a huge fan of anything zombie related.

This game gives HOTD a bad name
Review created: 05/30/09
by:

I cannot believe that Nintendo would allow the House of the Dead series to turn into a nonsensical rendition of thug and crime life in the inner city. I love the House of the Dead 2 & 3 games and my son really enjoys those as well. The fact that there is no language censor for the most unnecessary, useless, and uneducated language (even for a video game) I've ever encountered; the level of violence cannot be modified through options; nor can the scenes with the vulgar and unnecessary language be skipped by pressing 1 (as in the HOTD 2&3) makes this game absolutely worthless. If you're really into the cussing and swearing thing, this may be the game for you. If not, don't waste your money.

  Comedy and action combined
Review created: 05/18/09
by:

ive always been a house of the dead fan, but this game takes it to a whole new level of shooting mutans, plus adding comic relief. youre playing as agent g (originally from the house of the dead series) and detective isaac washington clearing the town of mutants (aka zombies). between the awesome graphics or the comical commentary, you should enjoy house of the dead: overkill.

The game play itself is great. Just like playing at the arcade. The only down side is calibrating the remote/ gun to the screen, After a few trys it was much better.

  Awesome!!!
Review created: 04/17/09
by:

My 18 year old son has a real fixation about zombies. So, for us to sit there, zapping zombies endlessly is totally awesome! The only minor drawback, and this might just be my TV, but there are some scenarios that are pretty dark, so you don't see the zombies until they're right up on you. Still, this is an excellent game in every sense of the word!

  18 & Over
Review created: 04/07/09

This is a great game for the 18 & over set. Let me repeat, this is for the 18 & over set. Although the WII seems to specialize in family friendly games this is not one of them. Having said that, I am recommending this game for anyone who fits the above criteria and likes to shoot at zombies. This is basically a grindhouse flick come to your WII gaming system! Happy zombie shooting to all!
