House (DVD, 2009)

This Movie was based on the book House by Ted Dekker the movie did it's best to depict actions that were in the book. Truthfully if you haven't read the book the movie will not make that much sense to you. But I loved it, to see the characters come alive. Great movie!

In rural Alabama, two couples find themselves in a fight for survival. Running from a maniac (The Tin Man) bent on killing them, they flee deep into the woods and seek refuge in a house. They soon realize the killer has purposely lured them to this house and that they are now trapped. As they huddle around an old fireplace, a tin can falls through the chimney. Scrawled on its side is a message from the killer, establishing his House Rules. The rules call for their deaths unless they kill at least one of the four. They have less than 12 hours to find a way to survive. At sunrise the game is over and everyone dies if the killer's demands aren't met. What they quickly learn is that the only way out... is in. But going further into this house--where unknown challenges await them--is equally deadly.

This Movie is OK but it reminds me alot of the Saw Series...So if you like Saw1-6..Then you should like this starts out a little slow.

This movie was fast paced and kept you wondering how it would end. Good suspense and some good scares along the way. The action, acting, and cinematogrophy was very good. I especially appreciate the fact that this movie was made with all the good features listed above but was able to exclude foul language and other unnecessary elements so many movies include. Excellent movie.

The presentation is excitingly eerie. There is alot of action. We like nice scarry movies that know how not to cross the line. This was just spooky entertainment without serious evil content. It was enjoyed.

This is an excellent Movie, Frank Paretti and Ted Dekker are two of the greatest authors. This Movie is reccomended for all mature audiances and will keep someone on the edge of their seats.
