Ode To The 1970s- A Poetic Study by Rob Zombie

If you enjoyed the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you will find House of 1000 Corpses a great homage to the classic. The clothes are well-thought out for the 1970s- no extreme disco stuff. The police in most horror movies are always useless and stupid, these cops are more realistic. This film is creepy, though the first time I saw it I didn't really understand it. From the beginning, you're not sure who to trust.
This movie has everything- inbred cannibals, a giant, Rob Zombie in a sheep costume, a mental institution, clowns, and Chris Hartwick the host from one of those terrible TV shows (I think the original Blind Date, maybe Fear Factor).
My favorite scene is the scarecrows... and I wont say anything else about it.
A great soundtrack by Rob Zombie (or White Zombie, same general difference), with a few old phonographic hits- 'I Wanna Be Loved By You', and 'Tell Them I Remember You'.
House Of 1000 Corpses is a must-see for the horror fan.
