Read With a Box of Kleenex Handy

I loved this book...and that's an understatement. The author created incredibly memorable characters whose love affair is at the heart of this beautiful story. Ford, deftly weaves history with fiction...touching on WWII's Japanese relocation program, family alienation, bigotry and prejudice. But LOVE is the reason the book still haunts me. Like I said, read with kleenex handy.
