If you're into retro late 70's and early 80's music then you'll enjoy this one. Took me back to my university days and brought back some good memories. Cringe at the camp outlandish glam goo of Adam Ant, the silliness of The Kinks, the raw power of Cozy Powell and the sheer reminiscence of it all. Definitely worth a listen.

Hot Fuzz suffers from the same problems that so many soundtrack albums do. It has some great songs but fails to keep momentum building. It goes along at a fine pace and then the bottom drops out. There are some amazing songs here from XTC, The Kinks, and of course Eels but a true music fan would already have those songs on their original albums. One bright spot was Fire by The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown. Now that was awesome. Overall 3 1/2 Stars.

Contains a good sampling of pop-rock music both new and old mixed with sounds bites from the movie. Irreverent and high energy just like the movie. It also includes sever of the symphonic suites included in the film which slow the overall tempo of the disc but tie it in more closely to the film.
The sound bites can be a bit intrusive if you're just wanting the music, may not recommend it to the average music listener but if you're a fan of the film it's a must own inexpensive disc to pick up.
