Whether you are just starting out OR filling out your Hosta collection, I believe you will find this guide a Must Have. Mark Zillis covers more bases in this Spiral Bound book on Hostas than any other book on the subject I have read. He covers descriptions of TONS of Hostas in this book, and tells it like it is. The good, the bad and the ugly. It rapidly became my take-along in my searches for different Hostas. The info is right there at your fingertips. The price is a little steep, but believe me...It's worth every penny. If you are a collector....you will not be sorry for purchasing this TERRIFIC book. It will help you decide yes or no to a hosta you've never seen in the garden but may want to try. It'll help you save money on "mistake" plants- or keep you from purchasing a hosta that may be almost identical to another variety you already have. No other book on Hostas can do that. Problems and pests are also covered....with pictures. And speaking of pictures, there are lots of them in this volume, all in color. If I had to spend the money again knowing now what the book was like...I definitely would...without the hesitation! Definitely a MUST-HAVE.
