Horse of a Different Color by James D. Squires (2002, Hardcover)

I loved this book. The author has a unique sense of humor and a great writing style. He accurately portrays the heartbreak and triumph of the small breeder trying to succeed against the "big boys". I would recommend this book to anyone who loves true stories about the magnificent thoroughbreds and the people that raise and race them.
