Hope Floats by Original Soundtrack (CD, May-1998, Capitol/EMI Records)

This album is one of the best true soundtracks. Country music is the big player on this one, however you need not be a fan because every song is excellent. One of the most sought out CDs on eBay.

I absolutely LOVE this CD !! I liked the movie so I knew the music would be good too. I should have bought it when it first came out !

I actually bought this CD for my sister who has been searching for the music since the movie was released. It has a wonderful mix of country music, including Garth Brooks's 'To make you feel my love' and (to my surprise) Bryan Adams's song 'When you love someone'. Adams isn't a country singer, but the song is wonderful and a good break-away from southern music.

Lovely songs, some by artists not familiar with, have since purchased several new CDs by these artists. Purchased CD because recently saw the movie for the first time and liked the music. I really like everything about my purchase, nothing to dislike!

I like the CD very much but there is one song from the movie that is not on there that I am disappointed with and thats when the two of them are dancing in the Hall and the band is playing this fast song. I can't place the name so I was eagerly looking forward to listening to it again and find out what the song title was, but I have listened to the CD and its not on there. Never mind I still like the CD. In good condition now have both CD and DVD so i am happy.

I saw the movie and loved the music from the movie. I tried to find the CD in a music store only to find out they had a limited number of copies so it was hard to find and expensive. I wanted to buy the CD but also was trying to get it at a very good price. I have been looking on and off for a long time. I have a list of items I look for and I just keep pulling them up and if the item is a good deal them I purchase it. Most the time I am not in a hurry to purchase so I wait for the best deal. Love the CD!

This is an excellent soundtrack!!! It is one of the mostly romantic and heartwreching albums ever made. Quite a few of the top country singers of the time sing lovely ballads such as : Deanna Carter, Garth Brooks, Trisha Tearwood, And Lila Mccain. Even Rock-n-roll legend Brian Adams makes a appearance. You'll love it!!!

I love that Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood sing the same song, different styles. I really like to drive down the road relaxing to this soundtrack- some of them aren't my favorite songs- but the beauty of the cd is that you can skip to your favorites. Deena Carter, Sheryl Crow, Bob Seger/Martina McBride- love their songs.

This is the first time I have liked all the music in a movie well enough to want the soundtrack. Won't make that mistake again. I actually listened to the cd waiting for one song in particular that I truly loved, and didn't catch it so I immediately looked at the cover to see what was up and it was listed. When I went to that track it was indeed on the cd. The way the play the songs in the movie do NOT match the way the songs are played on the cd. Perhaps my mistake for not knowing that but I just expected it to sound the same and it does not.

I purchased this CD because I accidentally broke the copy I had. I cannot fathom why they no longer make this version, unless it's because Garth Brooks' record company won't let them use his version of "To Make You Feel My Love" anymore. It was the reason I bought the CD in the first place.

But I have come to love nearly every other track on the CD, too--if you're looking for mood music, THIS IS IT! Cheryl Crow's "You're Not the Only One in Need" and the Bob Seeger/Martina McBride duet are just to die for. There is also a frothy little song called "Paper Wings" that will really tug at your heartstrings.

I actually bought what I thought was this CD at Best Buy and didn't realize it wasn't the same one until I'd already unwrapped it and put it in my CD player and didn't hear Garth Brooks come on first!! So I was out $15. The Garth Brooks song is just worth it.

Needless to say, I will take MUCH better care of my new copy. I will probably copy it to my computer's music library just in case...

Bought it for including the Rolling Stones 1995 re-make (from "Stripped" album sessions) of a song from their first LP, Honest I Do, and it was worth the price of this CD.

I guess I didn't remember the songs from the movie like I thought I did. Most of the songs are slow and depressing. I couldn't recommend this to anyone. I'd stick to watching the movie and stay far from the soundtrack!

Good CD; arrived quickly. The movie was really good and the music is beautiful. I like it. Why do I have to submit 100 characters to let you kniw I like it??

Wife wanted it, but when I saw it had Ryan Adams and Gillian Welch I was sold. A little slow moving but if you like the older alt-country this is a nice collection.

It's an old CD with Garth Brooks on it, the new CD's of Hope Floats doesn't have his song on it. Some times it's easier to find on Ebay than to hunt the stores.

I love this cd!!!!! Its a GREAT cd to own!! The songs on it are awesome...This is like the 3rd cd I have bought. I had even bought the cassette tape and a cd for my mom...So she could listen to it in her car as well as at home. You would be very wise to purchase this cd.

If you've seen the movie then you know why i bought it! Its a great soundtrack. makes you feel like you watched the movie everytime you listen to it ! it is my favorite movie. it has such inspiration.

Great CD. You can't find most of these songs on the music sites online so it was great to get this and hear songs I hadn't heard before from some really great artists.

If you find this CD, buy it, don't wait another minute. This is such a great CD and it's near to impossible to find. You won't be sorry. Where else can you find Garth and Trisha on one CD. Great soundtrack to match the great movie. Just buy it!

I loved the musical scores on this CD. They were edited well...flowing freely from one song to the next. It is one of my favorites. When I first saw the movie in 1998 I knew that it was a must for my collection.

Saw the movie recently and had to have the CD. I purchased a Used CD that was in excellent brand new condition. Love it!

We wore our original CD out & wanted a new one for the boat this summer. Very relaxing to listen to also romantic. Happy to find a good buy on EBay will use seller again. Springlife Nutrition
