Hope Floats (DVD, 2009, Repackaged)

This was Sandra Bullock at her very best. She's young and her talent as an actress really shines through. I found the storyline to be both believable and realistic in today's world. A single mom conquering inner demons by returning home sounded like a cliche, at first. This movie is a very nice surprise!

I've always liked this movie no matter how many times I watch it. Very Sad though, will bring a tear to your eye. So if you don't like the sad ones this probably isn't a movie for you. It has a happy ending that's always good!

My wife periodically will see a movie on television that really touches her heart. Too often they are hard to find titles and if she desires to see them again she is at the mercy of those who decide when it will be telecast again and if her busy schedule makes it so that she is not available she may never have the opportunity to experience that touching moment again. We searched ebay and found the movie she desired at a very reasonable price and received it very soon after winning it. Now she is free to watch it at anytime and share it with family members and friends.

I absolutley loved this movie. I watch all of Sandra Bullocks movie's and this was one of her best. It was heartbreaking when her daughter was crying for her father to come back. Just a great movie to watch, very enjoyable. Harry Connick Jr. also did a great job in the movie.

Suburb acting and a talented cast make this movie work. At time it is a tear jerker, but the struggle to rebuild and re-learn to live makes this movie believable. The main character played by Bullock also learns through life's hard lesson that what comes around goes around when she must return to her hometown where she reigned as Corn Queen, but this time as a now single Mom who's husband deserted her by dumping her on a talk-show for her best friend. With her perfect life to follow her perfect teen years it is up to her to rebuild her live and regain who she now is. It was not touted as one of Sandra Bullock's best movies, but it is and maybe one of the best kept secrets. When I saw it in the theater years ago I knew it was a keeper. Gena Rowlands, Harry Connick, Jr. and Mae Whitman just to name a few are a strong, talented supporting cast.

Filled with a range of emotions, great music, and wonderful, warm acting this movie is perfect to curl up to on an evening when you might be wondering if it was a good idea to throw out your no good, cheating man. The believable tale of the relationship path for a woman and her daughter in ever shifting circles of support and love is one that will leave you crying, laughing, and hoping. Uplifting messages of "life goes on and gets better" are throughout this charming film and reach out even more in a wonderful selection of beautiful songs. Don't be surprised if you find yourself buying the soundtrack after you have watched this little remembered film. Hope Floats is a great way to spend an evening crying a little and feeling great afterwards. Enjoy it tonight!

This is one of my favorite movies. I had on VHS and wanted to upgrade to DVD. I love the actors. I would also love to see a sequal or atleast see these actors play in another movie together. If you are looking for a love story, this is the movie for you.

Excellent movie - Sandra Bullocks rocks in this movie. Love the way she returns to her roots, simplifies life, and falls in love. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good drama.

THE DVD IS VERY INTERESTING HAS A GOOD DRAMA AND I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH.I RELATED THIS MOVIE TO MY LIFE.

I bought this for my Secret Santa person over the holidays, she said she liked Chick Flicks and this has been one of my all time favorites! Harry Connick Jr is sexy as ever and he and Sandra Bullocks character really click for me. It is sad but also has an upswing of hope that we all need. Dislike?? I wished her mother hadnt died but other than the story line nothing really, it's typical life, men cheat and damage other peoples lives and the lucky few survive and move on.

i love this movie i had it on vhs and i wanting it on dvd so i brount it. also my friend want to see it too. and in came in relly fast i was very happy about that. i didnt have any proble with it, it works relly good.

I purchased this about a month ago on DVD, I used to own a copy on VHS previously. This is one of my favorite movies. Story line is realistic and it has a heartwarming ending.
