If there are three things I love most in the world, it's my dogs; a St Bernard, Kuvasz, and Komondor. If there is one thing I hate most; dog hair. Now with two dogs that shed, one who's coat picked up whatever was on the floor, and a house that was 3/4 carpeting, and 1/4 tile, I went through a lot of vacuums. Most would be good for about two months and then would get burnt out from all the dog hair (I vacuumed everyday) or lose a lot of power. I went from buying cheap vacuums to expensive $800 ones that never worked.
One day while shopping, I overheard a salesperson personally suggesting the Hoover Wind Tunnel series and this model to a fellow shopper. I didn't need a new vacuum but knew the one I had was on its way out. I took his suggestion and I am amazed to say it is the first vacuum in 23 years of owning dogs that has lasted more than four months. I've had it for a year and a half and it still works like the first day out of the box. More importantly, my house is cleaner and I can see a definite difference.
Prior to my Hoover Wind Tunnel, I had to vacuum everyday, twice. I would vacuum, rake the carpet, and vacuum again all in a vain effort to get the dog hair out of the carpet; which would never happen. My Hoover gets it all the first time around. It has a light that switches from red to green when the floor is truly clean and brushes the heck out of the carpets lifting dirt from the very bottom of the fibers. Not only do I not have to rake the carpets and vacuum again, but now I only vacuum every three days, there is no dog hair in the house or carpets, and the dust level in the house has gone down considerably.
My Hoover also has some other great features: The hoses are easy to clean out, it comes with a variety of useful attachments, a year's supply of bags, and a replacement belt (which I have yet to use). It vacuums carpets and floors equally well and it is truly self propelled. I LOVE THIS THING!!
As far as price is concerned; it is not the cheapest vacuum out there, nor is it one of the most expensive, but it is definitely worth the price. The next time you need a vacuum...get this one!
