We just love the Hoover S3765-040 WindTunnel Vacuume. After seeing its pluses in Consumer Reports, we decided to forsake years of an upright to try this canister. We absolutely love it! The style is sleek and modern, it's suction power is very powerful. My wife loves how it's much easier to get under furniture than an upright. The hepa filter is excellent..no hint of dust smell in the air when we vacuum. It is new for us and we are getting used to having to drag a canister behind us, but the pluses of this vacuum cleaner far outways any inconvenience. We honestly thought it was time to replace our carpet until we vacuumed with the WindTunnel. It left our carpet so clean and "fluffed up" that we were very impressed. The dirt container is easy to remove and dump. The power head accessories is wonderful for the steps and gets them looking brand new! The 3 choice suction control is handy when vacuuming over an area rug (if you have it on max it will suck the rug off from the ground!) so we put it on low suction to vacuum area rugs. The head is self adjustable and works great on bare floors (instead of sweeping). An added plus is it's so simple to disconnect the hose to vacuum a corner or along side a wall. This is a wonderful unit for the price. We feel like we bought a thousand dollar vacuum cleaner for a couple hundred bucks. Hoover did it right with this one. We highly recommend it to everyone. You will not be sorry!

So we got one of these as the reviews were decent and the bagless feature seemed like a good idea. Well, it is bagless, which means that we do not have to spend money on bags. Oh, wait, it has a filter (disposable) which costs $40 - yes, that's right, about a fifth of the price of the vacuum and which has to be replaced roughly every 2 months. The vacuum will not work without it and it will not suck unless the filter is clean as all the air goes through it. To top this off, this bagless twin chamber windtunnel wonder does not pick up anything other then dust. Thread, cat hair, pennies, lego, small pieces of paper, and anything else that can be found on a carpet in a normal household with pets and kids has to be picked up manually. With the operating cost mounting and the device not living up to expectations we are now in a market for a replacement - less then a year into ownership. We feel ripped off and will not ever consider a Hoover product again.

This Hoover Canister Bagless Vacuum Cleaner is just what Ive been looking for! I needed a small, long cord canister vacuum to get around my small house. It gets in tight corners and is easy to maneuver. The power is fabulous and I love the bagless canister. It is also quieter than others Ive had. Of course, I couldn't resist the affordability compared to others. My concern is how well the filter lasts and the availability of parts. This vacuum is not available in most stores, so I hope it the quality is longstanding. Thank you.

I read quite a few reviews and decided to buy this Hoover because it was priced right and had all types of features that I was looking for.
After having had it for about a month, here is what I like/dislike:
LIKE:
- The fact that it is a canister, can get in more tight spaces than our old stand up.
- The quick disconnect at different spots.
- The telescopic action
- The fact that it is bagless
DISLIKE
- The fact that the turbo attachment works badly
- The fact that the turbo attachment is NOT powered with electricity, just wind.
- The fact that the dirt cup is somewhat small.
All in all, it was quite a good purchase and I would highly recommend it.

Powerful with good suction, very efficient. Best uses: hardwood floors, hard reaching area, carpets & stairs, powerful tools, Hepa filter & bagless, light weight. DISLIKE: HARD TO HANDLE/ PULL, SMALL DIRT CUP TO EMPTY FREQUENTLY, WASH CLEAN HEPA FILTER AS ADVISED. Good value for price. If you do not mind cautiously using the vacuum's parts:wand & connectors, flexible hose have electric wires for connection to power nozzle. Frequently clean the dirt cup and Hepa filter as it is so efficient to fill up the small cup easily. I would recommend it to cautiously user for entry price.

After intense review of many vacuums I decided to purchase this one. It is the one that my wife specifically asked for as well :). We absolutely love it and it works great! The attachments do not fit on it and must be stored seperately but that is okay with us. It does not hold much dirt?dust in the canister at one time, butfFor the price, it is a great vacuum.

This vacuum has amazing suction. I bought it to replace a rainbow vacuum that went with the ex in a divorce. This Hoover has a lot more suction then the rainbow!! Its super quite and works very well. But, the dust cup is TINY. I read a few other reviews and that was a common complaint. I thought wow, these people must have really dirty houses becuase the dust cup looks really large...it is, BUT only the bottom inch is where the dirt goes and once that fills you have to empty it. I have a 8x5 low pile area rug in my living room (and Im not exagerating) I emptied that cup 4 times and the rug is less than 1 month old. I live alone and am pretty neat, I thought anyways...not sure where the dirt kept coming from.
That being said everything else about it is amazing and I am very happy with it. Since I normally vacuum 3-4 times a week normally this will start to taper off, if not then its going to be a pain in the...cup! Other than that I would buy this machine again.

pros: a surprisingly powerful compact cleaning machine, light weight, generally well made, no bags to buy, i like it a lot.... cons: you have to dump the dirt out like emptying the lint trap on a dryer, the belt on the floor sweeper came off sometimes when in reverse going over varying carpet heights but is easlily put back on in about 3 minutes... a cap washer on the end of the motor spindle solves that problem, the filter needs periodic cleaning depending on how much the vacuum is used... i think this is the trade off for not buying bags. overall this is the best house vacuum i've ever owned by far and i've had electroluxes, sears brands, and other hoovers. it's expensive brand new so i bought store return for half the money and it's like brand new. so, there you have it, Andrejs

Hoover Wind Tunnel Canister Vacuum-S3765-040I won a bid on above item, on 9-18-09, from cowhidegallery. Took awhile to receive from Texas to Arizona. Machine was new, but parts missing. Listing had said cord was 25 feet and I wrote and asked if this was correct before bidding and they said yes, which was not true. When I received the vacuum there were parts missing, I called immediately and parts were going to be shipped right away, well this never happened. In the mean time, to appease me hoping for a good rating, they wanted to send a new very small feather weight Bissell. I relayed to them I did not want this, please don't send. It arrived anyway and was not new and the main part of it was missing. What good are vacuums with all the main parts. I wrote and told them about all of these and never got an answer. I know they want a good feedback but hard to do when two items are not worth anything. I did receive a refund on the big vacuum I had to send back, but would not go to the expense of returning the little vacuum which is absolutely no good.
I had gone to the library to review vacuums in Consumer Reports and this vacuum was rated very high.

Unfortunately, I had to return the vacuum back to the seller and in the end I lost $30 for nothing. As for the product, the vacuum had no suction power.

The bagless feature means never running out of bags. The tank style is lighter in weight and gives me greater control than my old power drive upright. This was very important with arthritis in my back. The suction is better too. I can actually vaccuum all around me while sitting on a chair or stool.
