Hoover S3341 Canister Cleaner

My wife and I decided to purchase this vacuum because we have all hard wood floors and area rugs in most rooms. The vacuum does a great job on the hardwood floor and a little better than average on the area rugs. The vacuum is very easy to maneuver and does hover on a stream of air. The build quality is excellent - built like a tank.

For three decades I've owned the predecessor model. We used and abused it for everything including two remodeling project clean-ups. I was delighted to learn that Hoover reintroduced the Constellation with HEPA filtration. I bought two vacuums from E-Bay resellers and have been very pleased with the performance and simple design of the new model. The big advantage for this canister cleaner is its ability to really clean hard surface flooring. It reaches almost under every piece of furniture and it floats on a cushion of exhausted air, kind of cool. After a couple of year's use I would say it's a reliable product. There is one consideration however and that is as it floats it doesn't always go where you want it to. If it gets a bit stuck and you pull on its stretchy hose it can come at you at a surprising velocity. Despite that its cleaning power, light weight and steel body suggest that it will perform for years. I would recommend it to anyone especially for hard surface vacuuming. Wilburmoon
