I got my hoover to vacuum my hard wood floor and it works great it even vacuums under my living room suit and its light weight. I love it to death. But the only thing i dislike about it is that it will not stand up in a upright positions it has to be hung on the wall

I have a lot of pets. My flooring is stained concrete. I was looking for an easy to use but good vacuum that I can use about every day for quick clean ups of the floor etc. This vacuum is perfect, easy to use, easy to move, easy to carry. Would love a longer cord and an easier to clean dirt cup, it is not good for crackes & crevices but it does clean edges & pick up hair.

Really.. it sucks great! I'm replacing an Eureka vac similar model.. the Hover is far superior. It's quiter, has more power, easer to empty the contents, & lighter. I like the swivel head especially. My application is on a large section of wood flooring... I have a 90 lb yellow lab who leaves his hair all over. Works like a charm for the dog hair & anything else. I install wood floors for a living,, I have recommended it several times since my purchase. Longevity?? we will see..

This is a surprisingly powerful machine for its size. I like how the head is a little smaller than the previous Hoover I had and how the head swivels and is easy to get under and around things. We have laminate flooring and area rugs, and it works great. With two dogs and a cat that live in the house, my little Hoover gets used just about every day of the week for picking up pet hairs. I have been very happy this this purchase.

I bought this vacuum after reading other reviews regarding stick vacuums. I have had 2 Shark stick vacs previously, and was happy with them, although I do think the Hoover Flair has far more suction power than the Shark vacuums. For the price, this is a great vacuum!

Great Unit!!
) Have used vacuum quite abit as we have a small dog that likes to shed hair. Works well on both bare floors and rugs. Would recommend either this unit or the one with the motorized brush in the head.

I ordered this vacuum because Consumer Reports said that it picked up pet hair on bare floors. Since I have 80% wood and tile floors, I took a chance. I have bought vacs in the past that claim to pick up pet hair and they all have failed, including Oreck. This one works.
My only complaint is that the instructions say to clean the dust filter with a brush, but the company does not include one. I am currently using an old tooth brush, that seems to work OK.
It is not great on carpets even though it has a carpet setting, but that is OK with me, since I bought it for the bare floors.
The other thing is -- be sure to take out the dirt cup over a garbage pail. If not you will have dirt/debris to vac up when finished. This happened the first time, but since I am more careful.
Would recommend the product.
