Hoover H3060 Upright Cleaner

My house has vinyl tile floors, and I also have 2 dogs that live in-doors (which mean lots of dog furs). I bought the Hoover H3060 FloorMate hoping it will become my "do-it-all" vacuum that will keep my floor spankin clean. It does the washing & scrubbing fairly decent, but you'll definitely want to get a separate dedicated dry vacuum, especially if you've got pets!

Size:
The vacuum is averaged sized, and is not too heavy. Working with the vacuum should be fairly easy and not over tiring. Of course, trying to clean an average sized single family home all at once would be a little much, unless you are just doing a lazy job of making sure your floors are clean.

Built:
The vacuum doesn't look cheap or flimsy. But I have to say it does feel a little flimsy when moving it around. The unit squeaks quite a bit as you work with it, which makes you feel like something is lose with the unit. But so far nothing actually fell off, so I guess that's good.

Functionality (Dry):
The Hoover H3060 offers a dry vacuum ability, but it really doesn't work all that well. The suctioning power is weak, and any pet hair will easily clog the suctioning pathway in the unit. Also, one have to wonder how well it keeps the dirt it has picked up in, since it lacks any good filters to make sure any thing sucked in stays in.

Functionality (Wet):
As a wet vacuum designed to wash, scrub, and dry a non-carpeted floor, the H3060 is fairly good at what it does. You will need to clean fairly slowly to make sure the floor is clean; one quick pass of the vacuum will not do much to clean your floor. This means to clean your entire house, it will take quite a while. Also, don't expect the floor to be desert dry afterwards, since the floor will be quite damp still after you suck up the water. But seeing your collection tank filled up with black dirty water is a very satisfying experience.

If you have pets in your home, make sure you clean them with a proper vacuum before you begin the washing. Or else the suctioning pathway will quickly clog up, be forewarned.

Accessories:
The vacuum comes with a detail kit that allows you to scrub and clean small areas. They work quite well, and the grout cleaner tool is my favorite. I use it not just for grout lines, but for any area that I deemed worthy of my extra attention.

Things I Like:
- Decent wet cleaning ability
- Clear collection tank that lets you see your progress
- Good accessory set

Things I Don't Like:
- Horrible dry vacuuming ability
- Easily clogged suctioning pathway
- Did I mention horrible dry vacuuming ability?

Conclusion:
The vacuum was not the "do-it-all" I had hoped for, and the wet cleaning takes a lot longer than I had expected as well. However it does do the washing and scrubbing pretty well, at least better than other wet vacuums I am aware of. If you have pets, definitely make sure you got a good dry vacuum to go along with this.

I thought I would love the FloorMate, but It leaked water aal over the floor. When I tried to fold the handle for storing, it broke. Very poor design for a $200+ item. I bought it to make my life easier and cleaner. Rather than mopping with dirty water, the FloorMate would suck up the dirty water. I sent in the warranty, but when I called Hoover they said my machine was out of warranty. The person I bought it from stated he only used it once or twice and is in almost new condition. Before buying, if seller says item is new or almost new, get the model and serial numbers and call the manufacturer to see if item is under warranty.

I bought this product for my son, whose house has mostly ceramic tile. It is wonderful for ceramic tile and linoleum. It leaves the floor almost completely dry and does excellent scrubbing. I would highly recommend this product. I am a Hoover believer and have many Hoover household clean items.

I finnally got this nice floor cleaning from my mom thanks to her, cause of how expensive it was. I researched all of the floor mates to compare and everyone els had said it was worth getting this model. I love it. It is easy to use clean and put away. This floormate cleans awesome and drys up the floor so you can go back to your daily routine. I have a big tile floor and it cleans it great and smells nice a clean and dry afterwards. I love how it squeegies up all the wetness to dry it quick, cause I have little ones running around on it. So thats all I have to say it's the best product A+++ :)

I have a mixture of wood, tile, slate, stained concrete surfaces in a very large two story home, only the kids bedrooms are carpeted. With the aid of this fantastic machine I can do all floors in less than 2 hours! What I like the most is that only clean water is put down on the surface and then sucked up so you are actually cleaning instead of pushing dirty water around. This machine is also incredibly easy to use, clean, carry, everything! I originally had the basic smaller model but when my cleaning lady brought this bad boy over I was sold. By the way my cleaning lady normally doesn't do homes, she does industrial office spaces 5 days a week. If her choice of this machine doesn't scream buy me, nothing will THANX Cathi G

I have used the older model for about three years and love it and wanted to
try the new model with the separate attachments I bought it because it was offered by the seller for less than what I could buy it in the store floor including the shipping.

I use this vacuum on a daily basis thoughout my home. It work well on both low and high pile carpetsm in addition I use this in the back area of out minivan to pull out the sand we pickup going to the park and beach.

It's easy to service and clean this vacuum. My daughter enjoys the vacuum more than I do, go figure ? Anyway this vacuum really sucks ! In a very good way.

This machine makes cleaning floors a breeze. There is no more need for me to have to spend hours scrubbing the stubborn dirt off the floor. (After mopping, that is!) I absolutely love it. The sweeper does everything....dry pick-up to scrubbing the floor....to drying the floor! Awesome!

I purchased one for our home in New Hampshire and needed one for the home in
Florida. The do a nice job on tile floors and easy to operate compared to a mop.

This Floormate by Hoover makes my job as a housekeeper a joy. After 2 houses a day with lots of tile and wood floors I have energy to play with my first love, HORSES. I have customers that own different series Floormates. If they don't have one I bring my own. I like this one best. It by far out works the others.

We bought the Floormate after doing a good deal of research and reviews reading. We have both hardwood and ceramic tile throughout our home. We have tried numerous mop styles without much success (streaking, sticky film left behind, etc) The Floormate sounded like a good option. We have an indoor dog and 2 indoor cats - all of them shed a lot! We used the wet vacuum one weekend shortly after we purchased it and within a couple of days, the smell (musty, mold-like odor) forced us to totally disassemble the system and clean each part in warm soapy water. We tried using the dry vacuum again with the exact same results. The smell is overbearing. We now have the vacuum in our garage and aren't planning to use it again. I feel there must be a defect in the machine for the problem to be recurring even with the added time and labor to clean each part and roller. Too much time invested in this - back to the mops!

Loved how clean the floor came out. Even without using the "dry" mode to vacuum up the water the floor was fairly dry after cleaning. When I used the dry mode the floor was completely dry in less than 10 minutes. I do wish I could get a little closer to the baseboards and around things with the spinscrub but you can do it with the attachments. Still want to get it right in there but not quite. I wanted to buy one to get my floors cleaner and let the machine do the work not me. It is still work but I think a better result than mopping. It uses a fair amount of cleaner, but I used an Armstrong product rather than the Hoover product and got better results in my opinion and used less product per the dilution rate. I have lots of vinyl to clean and also used it in my shower, which is stone tile.

Eazy to use and does a great job. We have an uneven tile and is hard to clean this solved that with ease.

I have owned a previous model of the Floormate, but this one by far, exceeds. The power button is located in a better position. The fact that the handle folds down for storage is definitely a plus. I like having the different tools, similar to what you would get from a vacuum, only for the hard floor surfaces. (Makes sense to me, for the price you pay) My only complaint is that after you are done and you prop the machine back in the upright position, there is some of the dirty water that just won't suck up into the tank so it leaves a little puddle on the floor that you have to wipe up. I don't know if this is the case in all the machines, or maybe I just have a lemon, but so far that is my only complaint.

This is a great product and will recommend it to anybody looking for a hard floor surface cleaner. It washes it scrubs all in one process. If you get one you will definitely enjoy. Joe

I already knew this would solve a problem of water marks on my hard floors while cleaning because I had purchased one like it recently as a gift to a family member who had researched the product. I like everything about this appliance for it functioned as advertized. I am a satisfied customer.

The Hoover H3060 has met every expectation. The machine was easy to assemble and the unit was great on our tile floors.I tried many other machines and mops and this Hoover H3060 actually works. I did use another Hoover Floor Mate and it sucked up water OK but did not scrub. I have not had occasion to use the attachments, but I see no problem. I have had trouble getting the tile and grout cleaner that goes with the unit. I did finally find a source a Bed Bath and Beyond. Before finding that source I was stuck with buying it over the internet and shipping made it to pricey.

All in one hard floor cleaner. Easy to use.Cleans floor well. It functions the same as a rug shampoo machine.

I LOVE IT AND USE IT ALMOST EVERY DAY. I LIKE IT BETTER THAN THE OLD FLOOR MATE I HAD IN THE PAST. I HAS A WIDER PAST SO IT TAKES LESS TIME AND THE SUCTION TPO PICK UP IS MUCH STRONGER THAN THE FIRST FLOOR MATE THAT THEY EVER MADE. WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMEND PEOPLE TO PURCHASE ONE ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE LOTS OF TILE IN THEIR HOME. THE ATTACHMENTS MAKE IT WHERE YOU CAN EVEN USE IT IN THE BATHROOM AROUND THE TOILET.

It was exactly as described, and exactly what I needed.The price was good.I need it to replace one inwhich I had broken. I found it quicky on Ebay. I loved that I was once again cleaning floors. HA HA . Very ggoo product good price.

I absolutely love this product because it picks up the dirty water rather than rubbing it into the floor like a mop! I know the floors are clean with the floormate and it is great for a quick clean up too. Would definately recommend to anyone.

I really like the item. It is very easy to work with. The manual is very easy to understand. If you don't like mopping with a regular mop you will love to mop all the time with the floormate. The only disadvantage that I found is, the cleaning solution is hard to find in stores. I found the cleaning solution at Target after searching several stores. I told all of my friends about the floormate. All of them got excited.

Having COPD my housework is a nightmare especially mopping. This machine really helped as it vacuums, scrubs then drys. I still have to wax floors tho as it doesn't leave it a shiny as I like them to be. It still is a great time saver when your whole house is wood floors.
