Honeywell Quiet Care Hepa Air Cleaner Model # 17005

I received my Honeywell Quiet Care Hepa Air Cleaner a week ago. I bought it because I am disabled, and very rarely leave my room. I have a cat, and dog, and visitors who smoke. In the past week I have been using it I've noticed about 75% of the dust accumulation is gone. I was always picking dog and cat hair off my computer, and desk. I can honestly say I very rarely see any since I've been using the Air Cleaner. I was always using deodorizers for pet odors, and smoke, but now I've been using much less.
It is a little louder than I expected. If you run it on low it's quiet, but if you run on medium or high you will need to adjust volume on T.V.
I like the fact that it comes with a remote, if I use another remote, like T.V. it shuts down the air cleaner.
I highly recommend this product. I highly recommend checking out the seller I bought it from, cuisinart factory outlet. You can find them in my feed back.

  Honeywell QuietCare 17005 Air Purifier

I purchased two Honeywell QuietCare 17005 Air Purifiers for the front living room and one for the back of house in the family room. It was just what I wanted and at a good price. Not as quiet as it should be. When it is on high you cannot hear the TV and it does interfere with sleep. I was a little disappointed there but just turn it down when in the room. When no one is home I have both of them on high. It does have three speeds to choose from. That is a plus.

This is the best in the whole lineup!

I'm not a guy that rates everything 5 stars. Matter of fact, if it meets expectations, it gets a 4.
This unit meets my basic guidelines.
1. It's unobtrusive. Much smaller than similar units.
2. It's effective. It moves a lot of air, and it's easier to breathe when it's on.
3. It's not excessive costly to run, or to buy.
It's a good basic unit for around $100

What reading descriptions and reviews don't tell you most of the time, is that when it's laid on it's side, it's a quiet, reliable personal fan that filters the air.
I like having a fan on when I sleep, for some air movement and white noise.
This is the ultimate bedside fan, with a programmable timer, and easy to use remote.

The nice thing is that it does the work of a much bigger unit because you can just point the thing at your pillow and run it on low. That way, you sleep in a bubble of clean air.
You get a higher quality of sleep, because you aren't congested while you're sleeping.
Other units try (Rather unsuccessfully) to clean the air in the whole room. This unit, when used as a bedside fan, just cleans the air that blows on your pillow. All I know is, the air that I breathe is much cleaner than trying to clean the whole room with a small unit.
Did I mention the handy remote?
I have had many purifiers over the years, and this one has been the most effective at particulate filtration while I sleep.
I bought 4 of these units so far, and they all still are working 100%.
They work great as fans in the living room, too.
I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Found this Honeywell QuietCare 17005 Air Purifier for half the price of what several other websites advertised selling it for.

This is our first air purifier- we bought it for my son who has allergies and asthma. We have had it for a few weeks now- I am seeing an improvement in his allergies. We have it in his bedroom which is a nice size- it works great. It does make a fair amount of noise, but not enough for us to mind.
