With the Apache's on the war path Hondo Lane becomes the protector of an Isolated Rancher and her son.
The movie is based on a Louis L'amour book of the same name.
This movie was filmed in 1953 and lasts 83 mins.

It's hard to say to much about this movie without giving to much of it away.
Lots of Special Features with this DVD including the making of Hondo.
A must see for all Western fans!!!!

I love any John Wayne movies but this one was special. Great human side of the story and really shows both sides of the story of the wild west. Amazing production considering the year it was produced and you will not be disappointed when you watch this great old movie.

I really have always enjoyed Louis Lamor books, and John Wyne has always been my favorite actor. I saw a good deal and I jumped on it.

I bought this DVD for my husband whom is a huge John Wayne Fan. This is one movie we have not seen. After watching the movie we were so impressed. It's a great movie! The whole family can watch it and truly enjoy it. It has all the makings a great movie needs. John Wayne plays Hondo Lane and he meets up with a woman and her son on their ranch. You have great actors with the indians and lots of action,don't want to give the movie away but it's worth the time to buy. You won't regret it!

Hondo, starring John Wayne was one of his better movies. In her first major movies, Geraldine Page showed why she is one of the finest actors ever to appear on the American screen. I certainly recommend it.

Traditional John Wayne western - good guys win and bad guys loose - was originally a 3D movie. Geraldine Paige had her screen debut in this film although a experienced stage actress. Also contains some of the early 50's Wayne picture regulars like a young James Arness.

I hadn't seen this disc anywhere before, but I had this in VHS and this was starting to show a little ware and I collect John Wayne memorbilia so I thought I would add to my collection and update this at the same time.

One of the best John Wayne movies in my opinion! Great acting by co-stars Ward Bond,Geradine Page,Jim Arness & Paul Fix also. Good action scenes with breath-taking scenes depicting the SouthWest,even though this movie was shot on location in Mexico.

This was bought as a gift. Haven't heard back from them. Other than taking longer than I anticipated to receive it, everything was fine.

This is one of my all time favorite John Wayne Western movies, and in the full screen format, it is a fantastic find. Most of the John Wayne western are in the lousey format of either widescreen or letterboxed, all because of the perversed viewes of the Hollywood elite like Opie Howard, who I would love to string up.

I saw the movie originally on TCM, loved the scenery and the innocent story of a woman raising her son and meeting a very honorable man. highly recommend it especially if you have a wide screen TV.

My wife and I thought that Hondo was one of the best John Wayne - John Ford western's that they have ever made!! We recommend it to any John Wayne fans!! There are other western movies but this is one of the best ever, that the whole family can watch together!!! This is a great family western!! I previously owned the item is VHS but popped the tape. So when I so the opportunity to get this movie in a DVD at such a great price I jump on it. The movie is excellent and for those who love the DUKE this is a classic representation of him at his best!!!! I loved watching it again.
