This is a great book for all homeschoolers as well as non homeschoolers. It really tells you what your child should be learning in either the public school system or in your own homeschool. If your child is in public school it helps you to know if your school system is really fulfilling your childs learning needs. As a homeschool help - it is fantastic! It tells you what your child should learn each year and tells you how to design a homeschool curriculum from preschool through highschool. It gives a lot of resources. It has suggested reading for each grade level. This book gives easy to understand information in each grade level for: Language Arts, Writing, Mathematics, History & Geography, Science, Foreign Language, Art, Music, Health & Physical Education. The author, Rebecca Rupp, has many other books worth checking out as well.

This is the perfect book for homeschoolers who want to pick and choose from the different curriculum sources out there. This book gives a detailed list of what each grade level should cover subject by subject. Great for library-based homeschoolers who can't or don't want to dish out the big bucks for someone else to give you nothing more than a list of what they think should be covered, along with a few books and you STILL have to find your own workbooks and resources. It also gives great pointers on how to make it work, other resources...can't say enough good about it. Highly recommend!
