I was not all at the war front but most of the film was the lives of the men at home. It put me to sleep!

The cover of the jacket did not fit the movie. Only the very first part of the movie was about the war in Iraq. The rest was the repercussions concerning 4 or 5 people after they got home. It wasn't at all what I expected. It was an okay movie. I like Samuel Jackson and Jessica Biel and they both played good parts. The movie was quite boring at times. It isn't a movie I would watch again.

I decided to buy this movie because I really enjoy modern military stories and scenarios. It was a good movie with a pretty good story line, good actors and good military action in the beginning. It is however just your typical modern war story about the effects it has on the soldiers and how their every day lives are effected once they get home. I wish the whole military aspect of the movie would have been longer.

If you think this is gonna be an action movie its really not i was disapointed i wasnt expecting a drama. Im not into those movies so i didnt like it but if u have a relitive or friend in the services it gives good insight on the whole war situation.

Great sad Movie, not as great as Stop Loss, but it portrays the effects of coming home after being in combat and it shows how everyone deals with it in their own way. Some of the movies like this show that some of the veterans return back to the war because that is the only way they know how to help themselves heal and they show that they can help more by returning to Iraq and Afghanistan

It was exactly as described. I have not watched it yet, but I have heard it is great. I was required to watch this for our English 1B class and then we will discuss it in detail. I am anxious to see this story and review it.

This movie is about soldiers in the gulf War. It takes place in Spokane after a few good men (and Jessica Biel) return with post traumatic stress and other injuries that make life more difficult. Samuel L Jackson is another shining star with his performance. Though this movie is depressing at times, it really makes you appreciate the soldiers' everyday struggle with the past and present conditions of everyday life back home. Definitely worth seeing at least once, especially if you identify with the theme. Our brave soldiers are the ones who make our homeland secure. This is the side of the America soldiers' life that is often less portrayed, but certainly worth the consideration. Watch this one when you have a Jessica Biel comedy to follow it, make it a double feature. Otherwise maybe watch it for the educational value and great acting of Biel and Jackson.

a strong performance by samuel l. jackson,and a good supporting cast,you will feel for the characters,and the struggles they face,in trying to cope with normal life after seeing the effects of war,it will make you laugh cry,and feel pride in the will to perservere,no matter what the odds are!

Dear Friends,
This is a movie that we all need to see. It makes one realize,how much our soldiers are doing for us in Iraq and how much they still go through even when they come home. We need to treat our soldiers with the respect that they deserve. They are laying their lives on the line, whether we believe they are doing what is right or not.

Great movie for helping those with PTSD and their frinds and family recognise that condition as well as better understanding a bit more about it.
