This is a great little guide for the amateur taxidermist to have on hand. Easy to follow, detailed instructions are given on how to prepare and mount fish and most small game animals. The preparation of hide for tanning and methods for producing various leathers is well discussed and many variations are given. I have used this book for turkey, bobcat, deer and beaver hides and have been successful every time. The only drawback is that the book was published in 1969 and a lot of chemicals mentioned are no longer available and many that we can get now are not discussed. All in all a good book worth having.
