Holy Bible: New Living Translation - Complete Bible (DVD, 2-Disc Set)

I bought this to listen to in my car on the way to work. This series won't work in audio systems but only on visual DVD players and TV combos. In other words, you can only watch it. In that respect, it is awesome! You can read the whole Bible in 72 hours. The words scroll across the screen while a narrator reads. Portions have multiple voices, where the Biblical text supports it. The menu supports a single verse, chapter, or entire book reading. It comes as a 2 disc set of old testament and new testament. The menus are easy to use and there is no complicated loading features that take time. The presentation is very professional and clear. We watched the book of Revelation in about 40 minutes. In conclusion, there is great benefit from watching rather than reading because the Bible narrative becomes a story. You can listen and think in a whole new way, and catch emphasis and details you may have glossed over while reading. I found it very inspirational and would recommend it to anyone. Make sure of the version. The NCV tends to minimize some aspects such as the fourth commandment of Exodus.

This is the most convenient way to read the bible in its entirety. Understandable language dramatised by a number of voices make this an entertaining yet informative experience. Dramatic music also adds to the engaging manner of the reading. Plus you get to read the text at the same time on screen. It is truly an enjoyable and edifying experience.

I love the Word or God and this NLT translation is great. The price for the DVD is excellent. Bought several and listen to it every day for the last year. Bought the first one at a higher price, even play it at night while I sleep. Learn Scripture from the ease of pushing a button. Faith comes by hearing. Romans 10:17 and it does. Amen

This is an excellent DVD. The narrator is very easy to understand. I would recommend this to anyone. I really love it.

Pretty amazing that you can get the whole bible on 2 disks, audio and script. The music isn't terribly annoying and the graphics don't get too much in the way. The point is that you get the blessing for reading AND hearing at once. Maybe the writer of Revelation was on to something...
