I bought this DVD Bible so that I could study the scriptures without straining my eyes. It works well for group studies as well. I enjoy the fact that the words are displayed on screen while the Bible is narrated. They also use different voices for different characters that are speaking in first person. I also like the archaeological pictures of the holy land. I wish that there were more study helps and useful features on the DVD though. The seller was honest and I got a good deal on the purchase.

This is just as described. The King James version of the New Testament read and illustrated on DVD.
It is difficult not to listen and pay attention to the word of God being read in this well done DVD. I have personally read the Holy Bible front to back with understanding over 10 times. But hearing the Bible read brings another level of understanding, and allows the listener to better imagine the events unfold. But why stop at the New Testament having both Old and New Testaments on DVD is even better as all the events from creation to Revelation can open the mind and dispel all the myths that have grown up around the Bible. The reader is very clear and even pronounces those hard-to-pronounce names and place. The text is clear and easy to follow the reader. The pictures and sound tracks add to the attraction where you don't want to stop listening. This will make the listener hungry for more of the truth about God and all he did for us through Jesus Christ.
Functionally, there are some improvements that can be made.
It's hard to tell where the cursor is on the main menu to see what to select.
Rewinding only goes to the beginning of the current page (screen change), so if verse 25 is on page 2 and you want to see verse 24, I had to start the chapter over and fast forward till I got to it. So far, this is all I discovered.
Over all I highly recommend this DVD to anyone who wants to know about the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ and Salvation.
