) A show about a man who cares about others' happiness. Mike Holmes is a general contractor with over 20 years experience and his heart is constantly by the troubles other people have encountered with shady contractors. He has an amazing knowledge of Ontario Building Codes and an eye for design.
Mike and his crew completely enjoy helping others with issues from leaky roofs to dangerous structural problems. When they finish a job, it is done correctly hence the catch phrase "Make It Right".
I believe in this series, his right hand mad, Shawn has departed for other pusuits but what really shines and sucks you in as a viewer is Mike's passion.
I love it when he gets into a house, gets fired up and commands the troops so to speak to "take it all down". Every guy loves to see this stuff. Every woman loves to see his compassion for others as he lovingly oversees the reconstruction of the project and always throws in extras. You can see his heart attitude reflected through his work and the way he treats others.
Mike is what I consider the "Golden Rule Contractor".

Homes on HomesMike Holmes shows you from start to finish what the contractor failed to do , what should have been done and the final result.
I wish I could have him work on my house. Mike Holmes stresses the need for building permits and the hazards when one fails to get one or listens to a contractor who states you don't need one.
