I bought the Holman Illustrated Study Bible a few weeks ago and I love it. For those who are interested in a translation that is close to the original text I would say this is the Bible to buy. I have some background in the original biblical languages and for the longest while I have searched for a translation that closely follow the original languages and never came across one as close as CSB. On top of the greatness of the translation, the illustrated study bible is great for all its study aids.

) I have several differnt translations and this is my favorite. It reads so very well and the illustrations are great. My wife and I both have one and we have since gotten the Leather study bible of the same translation and love it too. It reads so very well.

This is a great Bible.The Holman's Illustrated Bible is a great resource for studying the Word! It has excellent photos and pictures. I prefer the leather bound as it holds up better than the hardbacks. (not just this Bible specifically, but all hardback books in general)

I purchased it because my pastor preaches out it. The words are written in modern english, not in old english as the King james bible. There is nothing wrong with the King James version, I use both. The Holmam Bible is easier to comprehend & easier to read. It has a lot of references. I just Like it.
