Holiday Inn (DVD, 2008, 2-Disc Collector's Set; Includes Bonus CD)

I like everything-the fact that it has both versions: b&w and color. The best bonus is the audio cd with some tunes I had never even heard Bing Crosby do before!

One of my all time favorite Shows for the holiday season. Been watching it in black and white for years.

The color version is fabulous! Very tastefully done with attention to fine detail, it just makes an old classic better.

A must see/own for Christmas time! Bing and Fred Astaire together
singing and dancing. Storyline is excellent. Both love the same
girl. The question is who gets the girl? The 2008 DVD version has
enhanced Color as well as the classic black and white version.
Bing sings the best version "White Christmas" that I have ever
heard.

I didn't expect "color enhanced" which is excellently done based
on historical research for the color scheme...

I love this movie and it is hard to find in stores so I was thrilled to be able to order it. It took awhile to come, but I think it came from a pretty good distance. I bought it because it was just what I wanted. Thank you. CMayo

DVD included both black and white and colorized versions of this classic holiday film as well as a CD of the soundtrack. A nice collection. Now, my opinion: We don't live in black and white, (neither did the people who made and starred in the old black and white films) so I am pleased with finding this extrordinary old film in color. A very festive and fun holiday film if you can get past the Lincoln's Birthday black face scenes and a few other moments in the film that would not work, nor appeal to anyone today. Forgive it's faults of the era and enjoy it for what it is.
