Movie Description Two of the silvers screen's greatest characters, Jean Harlow and Clark Gable, star in this MGM blockbuster. She's Ruby, one tough cookie, and he's Eddie, a heartless scoundrel--even his smile is crooked. Together they set out to clip the world, beginning with the wealthy owner of the local Laundromat. Ruby gives up her current beau for Eddie, but when the scam goes sour, Ruby ends up in reform school while Eddie gets off scot-free. She's in trouble, and he's not around--or so she thinks--but love has changed Eddie in more ways than one. When Eddie learns that Ruby is pregnant, he plans to break into her prison. The two leads flex their enormous personas in this entertaining mix of comedy and drama, lifted by a script sparkling with snappy dialogue. Directed by Sam Wood, HOLD YOUR MAN will delight fans of Hollywood's Golden Era.
