Hogan's Heroes - The Sixth & Final Season (DVD, 2007, 4-Disc Set)

SSgt Kinchloe (Ivan Dixon) left after the 5th season and was replaced by Sgt Baker (Kenneth Washington). Baker is also African-American and has the same duties as Kinchloe but he just plain isn't Kinchloe. The sixth season was in some ways more solid than the fourth and fifth season and included classic episodes such as To Russis Without Love and Easy Come, Easy Go (the episode where Hogan and Klink travel to England purportedly to steal an allied plan). Unfortunately, the season also includes Rockets or Romance (Hogan partners with an underground agent who just happens to be a beautiful woman--how original!!!) and the mediocre Cuisine a la Stalag 13 and Klink's Masterpiece. Overall, this is a must for Hogan's Heroes fans but we sure miss Kinchloe.

this is the best except for the new charachacter this season that replaces ivan dixon's sgt. kinchloe character is as good as the original! the color remastering on the uniforms and brightening of backgrounds shows much better detail to uniforms and especially klinks office and the barracks!

It was exactly what i was expecting! And my brother will love his birthday gift! My brother is a huge fan, as am I.. We will be spending many hours laughing together as we watch! thanks so much!

the dvd set came in the mail very promptly and arrived in great shape. Hogan's heroes has always been a favorite tv program.

BRINGS BACK FOND MEMORIES OF GROWING UP AND TELEVISION WAS CLEAN AND INNOCENT.
GOOD CLEAN HUMOR. NOT VULGAR PROFANITY SUCH AS RED FOX, RICHARD PRYOR OR CHAPELLE (STAND UP AND UNCENSORED VERSIONS ONLY).

I love this show it reminds me back when times were good and of course Hogan and the gang always made you forget today fast pace life.. Me and the brother would fight over the TV space to watch Hoggie thats what we would call the show ..Well Ivan Dixon past away March 16, 2008 and it make this show more memorable

A life long fan of the show. I own them all. They just don't make comedies like they used too. This is probably one of the most under rated of all times.
