The Hobbit (Game Cube, 2003)

This game is CLASS A! Believe me. I have spent to much time playing this game. It is a lot like Pitfall the lost expedition. Travel across middle Earth completing quests and battling orcs and goblins. Run,Jump,Swing. Pick locks to unlock treasure chests. Sneak around a Dragons massive den collect jewels and gold. Play as Bilbo. Easy controls. Tricky game. A must for any collection.

Overall, this is an enjoyable game to play. It's as faithful in plot to the book as a video game could be, and Bilbo himself doesn't disapoint in the personality department. The controls are calibrated well enough (though not to my "Zelda" standards) it's not to difficult to get the character from point A to point B. There are several very frustrating spots in this game, where Bilbo's repeated death is all that seems possible to acomplish. It is saved by means of save points, but these aren't to far in between in most of the tricky places. There are also purple crystals that are often present to show you the way forward.
I would recomend this game, as I enjoyed most of my time playing it. The first few chapters were (to me) were the most difficult, geting the feel for the game and controls etc.

THIS GAME HAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD WANT IN AN ADVENTURE GAME.I RENTED IT ONCE AND REALIZED I WILL WANT TO PLAY IT AGAIN EVERY FEW MONTHS,AND YOU CAN NOT FINISH IT IN TIME TO TAKE IT BACK WHEN YOU RENT IT.ITS WELL WORTH THE PRICE.

Excellent graphics and fun to play. However, I get frustrated and could not get as far as I have without the guide to give me hints. I have not finished the game because I got several other new ones and have been switching amongst them.

It's fun to see the story line behind the plot of the game. Knowing where Bilbo is going and seeing how he gets there is a major attraction of the game.

I love this game! It is so much fun. The story line, the graphics, and the challenges are fun for everyone. I especially like the mines. Riding around on the lift just to see the details was as much fun as beating the enemies. The only level I didn't like was the spider level. Too many spiders!

i decided to buy it because i loved the movie.......it's cute and the graphic's are good however it takes like 5 mins to load and has to be loaded like every 10 mins......so not to happy with the actual game itself....but it came to me in descent condition and works so as for that i rate it an 7 out of 10

My son had this for the computer when it first came out and had trouble with it. For Game Cube is what much better and he enjoyed it very, very much.

I really like the game it is a lot of fun to play. The only downside to the game is the camera angles are hard to control and it can cause you to lose your perspective and fall off cliffs and stuff.
