Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (DVD, 2005, Full Frame)

This is a very interesting and at times strange movie. It does have some great comedy parts that got my husband and me laughing for awhile. The cast did a great job and the story line was interesting. Lots of special features, though a couple where just strange and kinda make you go "huh?". Overall I liked it and will probably see it again :). I would recommend it just to about anyone.

Loved the books. Movie was boring. BBC TV series was better than this movie with much better actors that fit the characters. Movie Zaphod was terrible. It was all I could do to sit through this movie.

I absolutely loved this movie. The opening scene with the narator setting up the story and the dolphins is worth the price of the film alone.
I had to do research on the film to see if any of the Monty Python troupe was involved because it is the most "MontyPythonesque" movie I have ever seen, other than actual Monty Python films. Maybe the "Brits" just have the special touch with dark, sarcastic, human bashing humor.
I just ordered the book and can't wait to read it because the movie was perfect.
Sam Rockwell made the movie and Alan Rickman did a great job.
By far, the funniest movie I have seen in quite a while.

I bought the DVD because I love the book. The movie followed the book pretty closely and I really enjoyed it. A great Sci-Fi movie that even the children can watch!

I bought this movie as a gift for my husband for Father's Day. It is a pretty funny movie (especially for those of us with dry senses of humor). It is a very clever movie with twists throughout. Having said that, there are a few moments in the movie where they seem to be mocking God and I didn't care for that at all.
Overall, we enjoyed this movie when we rented it so we decided to buy.

Love the original British TV series but, THIS NEW MOVIE BLOWS GOATS. I am a big fan, but I walked out on this movie when it was in the theaters. If you know anyone who saw this newer version and liked it, you might want to consider staying away from them because they have no life.

I bought this movie because it has deep symbols and an excellent story line despite its comical facade. It makes you think about mankind and the journey we all have to go through, and lets you laugh really hard at the same time. Love it!

Great movie, but does not stick to the book. Still a fun way to spend some time. Very quoteable. Definitely worth checking out.

Douglas Adams's screenplay writing is as excellent as his books. I enjoyed backing up a few pages to re-read a particularly amusing part, and owning the dvd allows for that same enjoyment. The special effects were great, and the acting was wonderful. FUN FUN FUN!!

Just a very good movie. Been wanting to see this for awhile. It is really kind of interesting. Don't want to say anymore and ruin it for those that haven't seen it yet.

Great film that is funny and gets your mind working a bit in the bargain. Alien tries to save an earthling friend at the last minute. Comparisons with government procedures are fun. OK for kids to watch.

The movie is great. very imaginative for a british flick. The best part the I liked was the fact that the "President of the Universe" was very much a REDNECK. WOO HOO Rednecks infect the Universe!!!

The remake was really good & I wanted a copy to keep.
I won the bid and was notified by the seller that it was on the way, within a couple of days. It was here within a week.
Since it was not a "new" DVD, I had to wait until I had time to watch it before giving a review.

This seller didn't communicate any more or less than they needed to. It was exactly how I like it.That's why I like to shop on ebay.No facial miscommunications or attitudes in a face-to-face atmosphere and no verbal misconsrcuing of the sellers voice patterns on the telephoneor mobile.

I didn't love this movie, but it wasn't the worst. Its worth about $5 on eBay. If you pay more than that you got ripped off. There are some funny parts and its great if your in the mood for sifi/comedy.

ZYZpu, although the AUDIO IS SO HORRIBLE I am thinking to re record the audio with clean sound. lol
