It is too unfortunate, that Hitachi discontinued this model trying to encourage people to buy SATA laptops.
So now it is available mostly from eBay.
The hard drive is very silent, also it is good for your laptop's battery life.
IT IS REALLY FAST!!! If you so unlucky to have 4200RPM hard drive in your laptop - don't wait! Buy Travelstar® 7K100 and you wouldn't need to upgrade the laptop for few more years. Having a choice between bigger 5400RPM and this 100GB 7200RPM drives - I would prefer 7200RPM. If you want to collect a music or movies from the whole world - use some external storage!
