Hitachi DZ MV550A

I used this type of camcorder and was very impressed by its performance. Over all it is an excellent camcorder and the cheaper price is another advantage!

This is a great camera.
Very nice zoom and is very easy to handle and use.
The only thing I don't like to much is that the video can sometimes seem choppy. But not to bad.

This is as good as any dvd cams out there. Awesome editing ability in the camera itself. Easy to playback and edit, easy to formate for direct play to dvd player. The option to record in higher definition is great as well, though you need the right type of disc, which is what I reccomend... fyi...
Great for ease of use and user friendly displays etc.

Plain and simple, read the manual and it'z great. On in a moment and once ya got those fingers learned, shooting damn good video! Caught the kats kickin'kitty kan!!

Go for it, you'll like it, I got me a tripod and it helps...learn the zoom cause it'z a little tricky, but I know you'll git it!

The charger's a gas, just plug in an' there ya go, and the battery held 180 min? wow!! I've got a bag, so it's easy to swing away on the road, but I think I'd git one if I wanted to save it from destruction....have fun, and 'B' safe...nm

I like the fact that what I bidded for is what I got. I have had some situations where that wasn't the case. The item was new and in the original box.

I bought a DZ-MV550A with disc caddy. I downloaded the 186 page manual off the internet. Then I found out that I needed a Hitachi AC powersupply (NOT a compatiable) to finalize the discs. My computer, running Windows2000, did not have a driver for the camcorder, so I need the Hitachi software disk. It lacks standard output jacks, so I need the Hitachi AV/S cable, in order to view on my television. Going through the Hitachi websites, I can not find any parts or support section, or even contact, for camcorders.

Bottomline, if you can't get the whole package I can't recommend buying this.

Really great product to use once you really take the time to read the manual the camcorder isnt all that hard, seen some reviews and I think that the people who had troubles was the one who didn't read the manual read it and enjoy this camcorder its really a nice camcorder and so much more

A very good camcorder, very good zoom, and very clear. I don't like that the dvds have to have a round caddy and you can't get them around here. I had to order them from Europe. The other thing I don't like is it doesn't do very good in low light. Overall I think it is a very good camcorder, just make sure you can find the right dvds.

I bought the New cam about 1 week ago and i was impressed with the number of features available on it,the battery has a pretty good lifespan. Overall, I'd recommend the cam to anyone,price was right and is easy to use.

I love this camcorder. I bought it because my daughter was expecting her first baby and i wanted to record the birth. It exceeded my expectations and it still is exceeding my expectations. I still have lots to read about some of the functions but i no the basics of the camera. Oh and one more think the clearity of the pictures and the videos are great. I love my purchase and would diffinitly purchase another one in the future for one of my kids.

i love it, it is just what i need for my vaction and it will be use alot. i bought it cuz i liked it and thought that it would get used for almost everything so i got it and it is small enough to carry around. i just think that if i can have something like this i can record every thing that is fun to me and remember it for the rest of my life.

I love this item, I finally got it from my mom since i was living in Hawaii when i purchased, but moved 2 days before i got it there so i had to wait for my mom to ship it...I really enjoy this camera and the person i bought this from was great...

I do enjoy my camcorder, however, since a user's manual did not come with the it, I am still trying to figure a lot of things out. I ust haven't had much time to play with it more! Other than that it works great!

I'll get to experience with it more soon.
