Lost History that should be remembered
This DVD brings to light the fact that women played more toles in the Civil War than history books have taught us over the years. These women were not only brave, but risked everythign they had in order to find some place among the troops to avoid even a harsher life at home during these confusing times.
At the time of the Civil War, women were not even allowed to vote in this country and considered 2nd hand citizens by society. There is more to this other than gender, these strong spirits seemd to not only play the role of soldier, but excel in many areas well above the men who stood beside them and respected them as one of their own.
Worth taking a look at and not letting these brave soldiers efforts go unnoticed and forgotten.
